The Maelstrom Arena is the Hardest solo content in ESO. This is where you go face to face with the arena and all of it's challenges, ALONE without the help of a group of friends to bond you out!
Information technology has 2 difficulties (Normal and Veteran) and you are not restricted to what y'all take (form/role) in anyway!
On normal difficulty you can enter at Any level and on Veteran difficulty you can enter after level l (champion point levels kickoff there). The Maelstrom Arena is located at the north east corner of the Wrothgar map in the Orsinium DLC pack. This guide is designed to teach you EXACTLY how to shell Maelstrom Arena in The Elderberry Scrolls Online!

Boss Fights

Maxus the Many

This boss is pretty direct forward although since you accept the window mechanic from the previous rounds you exercise need to move your feet a lot (not run like a headless chicken). It isn't difficult to avoid, you don't need to sprint, just try not to stand still.
He has some very bones mechanics of which if you follow them you should not have too much trouble. He tends to spend more than time casting than he does actually hit you.

And so the trick is, the boss can accept as long to kill as you lot like, just if you don't kill the adds, it volition have y'all longer. Relax, kill the adds, So the dominate.

Centurion Champions

This boss is a lot simpler than information technology looks. The main thing that kills people here is PANIC!

Relax, keep eyes on the main mechanic you have been following all along…the spinners! Keep an eye on their patterns and/or attempt to survive them as much as possible. There is NO race against time on this boss so if it takes you a long time, and so be it.

Basically they spawn one after some other (three in total). They have "sit downwards" mechanics where they are invulnerable (explained beneath) and to start with, each Centurion that goes immune, spawns the next one until all 3 are in the room. Nonetheless y'all just e'er fight ONE at a time!

They volition do different attacks and your window of opportunity to impairment them is while they are Inside mechanics.

Swipe – IF you are close to a Centurion one of two major attacks they volition do, one of them is a swipe which looks similar to a wound up heavy attack. Do not try to run away from this. BLOCK it. If you fail to block information technology you will accept high damage. Combined with possible spinner bleeds, this could exist a pain.

Steam – The second shut combat ability they take is they volition forcefulness steam out in front of them in a cone AOE. This can be completely avoided past just stepping out of the damage surface area.

Notice however they have a lightning shield effectually them. Don't become too shut considering this WILL damage you lot.

NOTE: You Tin can fire these Way before their thresholds however if y'all practice and so, once they have finished their mechanics, they will sit downwards anyway.

Lamia Queen

This boss is a hurting simply not as hard as you mite think on the surface. She can kill players very very fast but nearly of the time it is because people forget the mechanics already on going.

Yous have lightning coming from the heaven, then y'all already know to keep moving to avoid this from the previous circular.

You lot also take stranglers which of class should be your main focus since they slow you lot downwards (tiresome downward while trying to move, = lighting death of course).

Something that will assist a LOT in this fight is the shield synergy buff. This will reflect back at the stranglers and save a lot of hassle.

Adds – It is essential that yous lessen the complications of the fight. The fashion to practice this is to focus the adds. She will spawn adds at 75% 50% and 25% health. Keep your buffs up, (resistances and heals if you lot have them) and focus the adds each phase before going dorsum to the boss.

Most people die in here because they get overwhelmed with likewise much going on. So, get rid of the boosted mechanics!

Scream – The chief fox to this boss is to stay out of her face, and this is why.

If she screams she will stun y'all and y'all will have harm. Just of grade during this stun, everything else can hit you as well. If you are stunned you lot must break free to leave.

If you didn't kill those adds from the above mechanics…guess what is going to kill you while you are stunned?

The Control Guardian

This fight CANNOT be simpler. The boss has TWO major mechanics.

Mechanic i is: Moving around in a circle

Mechanic 2 is: Standing all the same!

Moving – While the boss is moving it volition pump out HIGH shock damage effectually it and you volition constantly have damage. To avoid this, stay UNDER the dominate at ALL times while it is moving and you will take NO harm course it.

Stopped – Get OUT! When the boss stops, nether it is NO longer safe so get away from the boss. It will constantly pump out burn down damage under it.

However at the same time, the boss will fire meteor type effects effectually the room aiming at YOU. You must avoid these past moving away from them before they state.

Adds – When the dominate is continuing still, each fourth dimension it does this you will get one Spider Dwemer and ane Sphere Dwemer add. Exist sure to draw these out and impale them to save complications.

Sentries – These will constantly spawn like the previous rounds, be sure to impale these asap, OR keep an centre on where they are since when they are enraged they will have a damage shield making them invulnerable and fire out nasty ground aoes.

Basically…When the boss is moving, stay under it. When the boss is standing withal , stay away from it. That's it.

Don't be afraid to take synergies that can help a LOT especially the healing beaker.

Matriarch Runa

This is the offset major stopping indicate for anyone and nigh everyone in VMA and this is because of one very elementary reason…PACE!

People try to nuke it and information technology is NOT that kind of fight. This fight has a completely unlike condition in gild to be clean. Do Not over burn down the boss. If you do, you will be overwhelmed with more than adds than your survival volition allow.

Trolls – Rule number one. Interrupt the troll, no thing where it is, and impale it. If the troll smashes Ane platform, it is game over.
They will spawn all throughout the fight, pay attention to them. They spawn from the heart but can go anywhere they like.

Fear – Occasionally the boss volition fear you trying to push you lot into the ice (damage over time in the ice) be sure to break free from this as presently as you lot can.

Always kill the adds and get impairment off the dominate as much as possible to exist sure the room is clear. Failure to exercise this will crusade overlap of mechanics and you could end up with up to 6 + adds in the room if you go to Yolo!

JUMP! -THIS is important. At 75% and 50% the dominate will glow crimson, enrage and JUMP on whichever platform she is standing on and smash it to $.25.

Button the boss a little until they spawn then get all damage OFF the boss and ON to the adds. Practice Not push button the boss until ALL adds are dead (no ulitmates). Once they are expressionless, push button the dominate to leap.

When she jumps run to the last pad. Pick up both synergies (shield and impairment).

Now y'all tin can drop the business firm on the boss. But if y'all have low damage, kill the adds offset THEN impale the dominate.

If you lot have extremely low damage the boss will jump a final time and kill you lot but that is but if you have like 1k dps or brand a lot of mistakes. Information technology is very rare for information technology to happen with the current land of the game regardless of experience.

Relax, pace it, adds first, boss concluding.

Champion of Atrocity

This dominate is uncomplicated but hectic at the aforementioned time. She hits very hard and in that location can appear to be a lot going on.

Remember from the previous round with the lightning coming downward, the hoavars and the spiders coming, you take to continue moving and pay attention to those totems.

Spider Minion – As the fight unfolds she will spawn a small minion that looks just like her. This has similar abilities and they are linked together. Basically while this add is live the boss takes MUCH less harm and grows in strength. You must kill this add at all costs.

Mechanics can overlap but generally this spawns around the 70-75% health surface area and again at 50% and under. Pay attending to what is going on and don't let these alive.

Lucher – Midway through the fight a lurcher volition spawn. These are the same as the enemies from the last round, you may desire to hit this guy with an ultimate to become rid of him fast. He is non so bad on his own simply with the dominate in the room the additional impairment is not something yous want to have to defend against. So get rid of information technology quick, and be sure to interrupt it if he starts shaking.

TIPS: – Substantially this is NOT a DPS race as such BUT the longer the fight the tougher she gets both in damage output and mitigation and then focus every bit much as you lot tin can on keeping the mechanics make clean.

DON'T leave the spiders alive for her to abound in forcefulness, don't forget the hoarvars for the totem stun and don't forget the sneaky spiders that encompass them up.

Argonian Behemoth

This boss much like the Ice round is hated by well-nigh. The dominate is not really the difficulty office but RNG is instead. The musrooms CAN spawn where y'all do not desire them to and there is nothing yous tin do well-nigh it. Even so rather than home on that the mechanics and tips will be explained.

You can stay every bit shut to the boss every bit you like so long equally you know the mechanics, failing that you tin play ranged and it is also merely fine to do that and then long as you lot know what to avert and cake.

The ONLY ways to survive, is to stay in the protective bubble the lighting mage puts himself in…OR interrupt the dominate (Warning do not exercise this, stay in the bubble).

While inside the chimera you are safe so long equally the add together stays alive. One time the screaming is over, kill the add and get back to hitting the dominate.

This mechanic will repeat as many times as you like until the dominate is dead.

So…kill i add, hibernate near the other, kill the add when information technology is prophylactic, rinse echo. That's information technology.

However, if y'all accidentally, OR purposely interrupt the boss, he will stop screaming, and STAY enraged! doing massive damage. And then don't let him affect you with anything, especially the stomp.

NOTE: Remember the Venom callers MUST dice. And as well mushrooms will explode and put a dot on y'all which you MUST cleanse if you get caught via the green pools.

If you are in the bubble, condom, and a mushroom spawns under y'all, very few survive this…RIP.

Valkyn Tephra

This boss is every bit simple as they come up but can go so messy if you have non already learnt the rules of previous bosses. Mainly meaning "adds showtime!". ANY adds in the room must be killed. And also, keep your distance and half the mechanics won't bear upon you.

Totems – There are iii totems in the room. Each one needs to be killed in social club to weaken the dominate. Once they are down, the dominate volition be stunned and exposed and this is where you set on.

Yep you can kill this in one go if you have lots of harm, simply if not, y'all will accept to follow the rest of the mechanics and exercise multiple laps.

Flame Shaper – These volition spawn through out the fight, depending on how fast you lot are, usually around the second/3rd totem death. These are your main target. If they put their staff in the air and commencement channeling their burn attack, and they are NOT interrupted. Yous are going to die. Interrupt them and kill them E'er as a priority.

Flame Atronachs – Usually on the second lap (not shown in the video) the boss tin spawn two flame atronachs. These are not a huge threat but to salvage complications, be sure to impale them then you are not taking additional damage where you don't want to.

Cleave – If the boss gets close to you he volition cleave y'all with his sword and knock you lot back. try not to become close to him.between a wipe and a laissez passer because if people die this is VERY hard to recovery from.

Fireball – The boss will occasionally breathe a fire ball at y'all, this can be blocked, or dodge rolled and doesn't do too much damage. Just keep your resists/heals up.

Concatenation – If the dominate is still alive by a tertiary lap of the totems, he will proceeds a new power and be able to chain yous in (similar the previous mini dominate). This is normally used in combination with a follow up cleave.

Explosion!!! – If the is STILL alive equally long as a quaternary lap, he gets what looks like an ultimate. He can explode and cause a HUGE spreading fire mechanic.

There are gaps in this so you can survive if merely the fox is, if you see him channeling it, go as far away every bit possible in order be in a safer position to find a gap. (close is amassed, long range information technology spreads with bigger gaps).

TIP: Always kill adds, be sure to kill the adds before the final totem or even force them to spawn so you go as much fourth dimension on the boss equally possible.

And finally, stay away from the dominate at all times unless you are killing him. Speed vitrify and reflective shield synergy helps a lot!

Voriak Solkyn

Rule number ane! DON'T PANIC!

This boss has a LOT going on, and then y'all will need to blot these mechanics footstep by step, there is NO blitz, this is NOT a DPS race.

The boss has iii major phases and each one must be paid shut attending to.

But of course you must sympathize his mechanics in order to successfully follow through with the fight.

Skull throw – The boss puts his hands together or casts a winding up ability with his staff. When this happens he is going to fire a Skull at you which will practice HUGE damage and knock you downwards and back! This can be BLOCKED or DODGED. (This mechanic is crucial).

Flare-up – The boss will crouch and channel an ability with a spreading aoe nether him, when this peaks it will explode and knock y'all back. Do not get caught in this.

Skull aqueduct! – The raise his staff in the air and hit you speedily with multiple skull similar attacks over and over and over. THIS is uncomplicated. Interrupt it (or take the shield synergy and reverberate information technology). Failure to do and then will kill you.

Teleport – The boss Teleport regularly normally subsequently nearly 20seconds in his electric current position. So plan your burst. If you throw down all of your damage equally he is nigh to motion, that's a waste material. And so continue eyes on him.

Adds – The boss has 2 basic adds, i is a healer (which should be killed or it will heal things and hit you with fire harm) and a ho-hum walking add from 2 rounds previous. These must be killed. The slow walking add is intending on releasing a Bone Colossus into the fight. Practise not let that happen.

JEFF!! – The boss will spawn a deadroth aka Jeff into the room and this guy MUST dice. Kill Jeff no matter what, no excuses, he MUST die. If he bursts into flame and breaths on you, y'all volition have a burn down damage over time ability stuck to you. Running won't salvage you lot. As long every bit Jeff is alive, you will ALWAYS accept damage and you lot will dice. Kill him, he is more of import than the dominate!

And now to explicate how to tactically manage this fight phase by stage.

Stage ONE: – The dominate starts in the center of the room and it is just you and him.  So this is your opportunity to go some impairment in on him.

he volition hit y'all with some basic attacks and then a skull attack (explained above). This should be blocked or dodged. If he has not hit 75% health or lower he will teleport. to a random location.

Once he teleports he will start his Skull channel ability. You have two choices here. interrupt him, or accept the shield synergy buff and just permit it reflect on him while you kill the healer.

IF you let it run it'southward course you will take time reflecting harm with the vitrify to kill the healer BUT if you interrupt the dominate (or let it run out) the first JEFF will spawn!

The boss will teleport and continue with his basic attacks, skull, blast etc. This phase you MUST impale JEFF.

In one case Jeff and the healer is down (healer is optional just makes sense). continue with the boss. Once he finally does hit 75% or lower he volition become up into the air and be immune (he has gone upstairs).

To get upstairs you need to expect for ONE of THREE pads on the floor. This will be lit up.

Y'all must go over to it and kill the association fright NEAR it. In order to actuate it. In one case this is done you tin apply information technology as a teleport to upstairs.

Alert: During this phase there are lich crystals you must avoid, and if Jeff is alive you must Non go upstairs. His dot will become with you.

Stage 2: – Upstairs is simple.
In that location are 3 crystals. They must die.

Meteors will constantly exist falling and so do NOT stand still, these must be avoided. Or yous volition be stunned and killed.

The boss will put his hands together and fire a skull at you which must exist dodged or blocked (demonstrated in the video). So try to go on eyes on him until you lot have it embedded in your listen equally a mental timer.

Afterwards the skull he volition bandage a protection wall which is rotating around the platform. You must get behind information technology and follow it. It will explode and you lot will exist protected, but if you lot arenot behind information technology the explosion volition push you off and y'all will have to make your way back upstairs.

NOW, this process volition echo merely now he throws Ii skulls earlier the wall stage.

So, avoid two skulls, while avoiding meteors, and killing crystals and then hide backside the wall again. This needs to be repeated until all crystals are dead.

TIP: If you are upstairs for more than 3 laps, bound off, kill the new Jeff, and come support.

You are constantly taking damage over time and each lap increases the damage and the speed of the protection wall.

Once all 3 Crystals are dead, the boss will explode and y'all volition be thrown off, and it is dorsum to downstairs for the concluding battle.

Phase 3 The Final Fight – The boss now has all his basic mechanics, take a breath…

Interrupt his channeling, avert his aoe, and dodge/block the skull. Relax and keep consistent damage on him. This is NOT a DPS race.

While y'all are down stairs there is ONE add together,  the walking "I'k going to spawn a huge os colossus" enemy. Add must die. Don't worry well-nigh the boss. Kill the add, and avoid boss attacks. Take your time and relax.

During the fight the gold ghosts are now present. Pick upwards 3 and you can stun him just like other rounds but be sure he does Not take them because if he gets three he will explode and y'all volition die.

Every 3rd gold ghost, Jeff will spawn and he is 100% your priority now. Kill that Deadroth or else.

THIS whole matter now just needs to be repeated.

And so…to keep it simple.

Interrupt and avoid boss hits, while keeping damage up as and when (no blitz). Kill the add together, selection up all ghosts. Kill Jeff.

Repeat repeat echo until it is over.

No rush, no panic, no yolo. Forcefulness clean mechanics and y'all Will do information technology.

Loonshit Loot

Here is a list of all the loot you lot can expect to find in Maelstrom Arena. On normal the loot is blue and the boss does Not drib Maelstrom weapons but does driblet the weapons of the standard sets in in that location.

On Veteran all loot is imperial and you lot CAN get specific Maelstrom arena weapons from the terminal chest Non that on NORMAL y'all will get regular maelstrom weapons.

Simply on veteran difficulty of the Maelstrom loonshit, The Elder Scrolls Online received an update bringing PERFECTED Maelstrom weapons into the game. You will have to complete it on VET to get those!.
